Piassa was launched on the belief that a better world is possible. It all starts with a town square. Phase One of this new concept is a coffee table quality Zine.
feral focus Volume I, “Out of the Valley: Into the Light”
is a collection of essays, poetry, art, and photography. It’s filled with stories about the wild places that fuel our fire and the raw beauty we’re fighting to protect in the fight against climate destruction. These are the stories and landscapes that shape us. This is our microphone for saving the outdoors.
Our Founders
Brian Havenner
The journey to founding Piassa Climate Media was winding, and the tarmac was not always smooth. After receiving an MBA in social Entrepreneurship, founding two agencies and launching the US operations of the largest indigenously led East Africa based NGO, Brian set his eyes on helping tell stories about saving the one thing we cannot get back if climate change becomes climate destruction, the outdoors. His on ramp to this field is through his writing on the natural world, rock climbing and trail running.
Vishal Bobba
Vishal is a multi-passionate adventurer and creative whose work explores the spirit of adventure within the diverse landscapes of the western United States.
His life is a tribute to the places, activities, and people that facilitate a return to flow, a state of effortless existence - of simply being.
